Canadian-Congolese Afrobeats artist and Arizona Cardinals linebacker Jesse Luketa, better known as Lu’, has released a new EP dubbed Gold Linen, which is available for streaming here.
With six brand new tracks, Gold Linen sees Lu’ bringing a new sense of artistry to his music. It’s an immersive collection that goes beyond music – a canvas of emotions, experiences, and stories that come to life through sound.
Gold Linen marks a new chapter in Lu’s rapidly evolving musical journey. After captivating audiences with his singles ‘Feva’, ‘Over’, ‘Nerves’, and the infectious ‘Suga’, Lu’ now invites fans into his world, where music becomes an art form, a medium to paint the narrative of his life.
“Gold Linen is not just a project, it’s an experience,” Lu’ says. “For me, music isn’t just something you hear, it’s something you feel. Every melody, every lyric is carefully chosen to create something unique, something timeless.
“I see myself as a painter of my own canvas, where the colours are sounds, and the textures are the vibes that make you move, think, and connect. Gold Linen is about owning your story, painting your own canvas.”
The EP’s theme revolves around the power of self-expression and personal empowerment. Moreover, he finds beauty in simplicity, richness in vulnerability, and embracing the complexity of one’s narrative. Each track offers a fresh perspective, exploring the balance between upbeat, feel-good vibes and more introspective moments.
“Gold Linen is about owning your story, painting your own canvas,” Lu’ continues. “It’s about vulnerability, strength, and how we find our beauty in life’s simplicity. This project is crafted with purpose, layered with intention, and designed to make you feel good while getting lost in the vibe.”
The project brings together a rich blend of Afrobeats, R&B, and global influences, with each song highlighting Lu’s multicultural background.

Raised in Ottawa, Canada, with Congolese roots and now based in Phoenix, US, Lu’ effortlessly blends English, French, and African rhythms into a sound that is both global and deeply personal.
His sound, shaped by English and French-speaking artists, as well as the rich tapestry of Congolese music, promises a musical journey as diverse as his own background.
