Kenya Breweries’ leading rum, Captain Morgan, is for the first time set to make its way to Mombasa for the Spice Takeover, Coast edition, bringing an electrifying mix of music, adventure, and spiced-up fun at Big Tree Resort.
The event is set to go down on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at the Big Tree Beach Resort.
A lineup of Kenya’s hottest entertainers will set the stage on fire, with performances from Captain Morgan’s brand ambassador and ‘Punguza Ego’ hit maker Mejja, Spin masters, DJ Issa Platinum and DJ Ronyle, with high energy and unmatched vibes from MC Gogo, DJ Daffy and MC Chapatizo.
The event promises to bring high-energy beats, unmatched vibes, and an unforgettable night of celebration.
In addition to the music experience, the event will be packed with thrilling consumer experiences, including the Captain of the Grill competition, where selected grill masters will battle it out to showcase their grilling skills with Captain Morgan mixologists making delicious spiced cocktails to keep the party going all night long.

Captain Morgan’s Spice Takeover will give consumers an interactive brand experience, thrilling surprises, and exclusive Captain Morgan cocktails, crafted to keep the spice flowing all night.

Adding to the flavour, consumers can also look forward to tantalising food from the Captain Morgan grill master’s competition. Indulge in delicious meats expertly glazed and cooked with Captain Morgan, offering a unique and savory culinary experience.
To join the Spice Takeover, consumers and fans will be required to purchase a bottle of 250ml Captain Morgan for one ticket or a bottle of 750ml for three tickets. Gates will open at 2pm (EAT).
