City girl Nissy Wakiiya celebrates 18th birthday in style with memorable getaway in Malindi

You only turn 18 once, and so the occasion better be one for the ages.

This is exactly what Nairobi girl Nissy Wakiiya had in mind this past week when she travelled with a group of 11 friends from the Kenyan capital to Lily’s Haven, located in the picturesque coastal town of Malindi, to celebrate her 18th birthday milestone.

The week was filled with exciting adventures and unforgettable experiences, showcasing the stunning beauty of the region.

The celebration kicked off with a thrilling dolphin-watching and snorkelling excursion, where the group was mesmerised by the vibrant marine life and playful dolphins swimming in the crystal-clear waters. The laughter and joy in the ocean set the perfect tone for the festivities ahead.

Next on the agenda, a visit to the historic Vasco da Gama Pillar added a touch of cultural immersion to the celebrations, allowing the group to appreciate the history and significance of this iconic landmark.
