Disposable Records is celebrating a new milestone today with the label’s 50th release, Peace Control’s official remix of ‘Messi’ by June Freedom and Naïka out now.
Guiding the forward-thinking and globally influenced Afro-house and house fusion subgenres, Disposable Records is the new home for developing producers and rising DJs from the Bay Area to Johannesburg and beyond.
Launched in 2023, Disposable lends itself to EMPIRE’s extensive catalogue of releases from Afrobeats icons like Fireboy DML, Asake, and Kizz Daniel, by tapping emerging Afro House artists such as Francis Mercier and Peace Control to reimagine their hits for the dancefloor.
The label’s landmark release sees rising duo Peace Control return to Disposable with their new sunset mix of Cape Verdean powerhouse June Freedom and multilingual Miami-native Naïka’s ‘Messi’
With over 15 million global streams, Peace Control are soundtracking clubs in Ibiza, Mykonos and beyond. The duo found quick success with their remix of Afrobeats superstar Fireboy DML’s ‘Peru’, which was the opening song for many of Keinemusik’s legendary open-air concerts throughout 2023. Peace Control’s new ‘Messi (Sunset Mix)’ serves as their follow-up and second release on Disposable.
