Expression Africa is excited to announce its nomination for the Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE) Awards 2025.
This nomination is a testament to the passion, consistency, and dedication we put into telling authentic African stories and amplifying voices that matter.
The BAKE Awards remain a cornerstone of Kenya’s online space, and making it to this year’s nominees’ list after an exceptionally competitive selection process is a true honour for our team and community.
Being shortlisted among the best is a proud milestone for us – but now, we need your support to bring the award home.
“We are calling on all our readers, supporters, and partners to cast their vote for Expression Africa,” Expression Africa founder and editor Rwandet Choge said.

About Expression Africa
Expression Africa is a Kenyan-owned pan-African online news platform championing stories of resilience, innovation, and success across the continent in different and interconnected fields such as tech, health, governance, climate, business, arts, energy, human rights, and education.
It was launched to create a platform where brilliant minds engage in matters that help Africa achieve its full potential.
Since its inception, this vision has evolved to include business-driven transformation as a central pillar of its storytelling strategy.
About BAKE Awards
Launched in 2012, the BAKE Awards is the platform for recognising the resilience and influence of Kenyan digital storytellers.
This year’s process kicked off in September with a call for submissions. Due to the overwhelming public interest, the team extended the submissions deadline to October 23. After that final cut-off, a panel of experts began the meticulous review of all entries.
The panel used strict criteria to vet for creativity, consistency, impact, relevance, and authenticity, ensuring that only the most outstanding creators made it onto this final, prestigious list.
“We’ve seen firsthand how creators use their voice not just for fun, but for education, advocacy, and nation-building,” BAKE Chairperson Kennedy Kachwanya said. “Now, it’s your turn. Jump in, vote, and support your favourite creators who represent Kenya’s digital excellence.”
