KARABA unveils immersive Tides EP

French-Congolese DJ and producer KARABA has unveiled her anticipated Tides EP out now via ONErpm. The EP features previously released singles ‘Surfacing’, ‘Siren’ and ‘Dark Waters’.

Crafted as a conceptual arc, Tides flows through aquatic metaphors and submerged moods as KARABA explores themes of identity, transformation, and fluidity.

Across its five tracks, the EP ripples with mystical textures, iridescent rhythms, and ancestral vocal motifs that echo across time and tide. From the meditative opener ‘Into The Sea’ and melodious depth of ‘Sinking’ to the sultry crescendos of ‘Surfacing’, each track evokes a phase of submersion and emergence.

The EP dives into her Afro house signature with the shadowy pulse of ‘Dark Waters’ and hypnotic call of ‘Siren’, weaving a sonic narrative that mirrors the push and pull of emotional waves and personal rebirth.

Tides EP tracklist

1. Into The Sea
2. Sinking

French-born, Quebec-raised female producer/DJ KARABA is redefining the sound of the underground. Formerly a professional dancer who toured with Drake, Camilla Cabello, Selena Gomez, and Chris Brown, KARABA’s approach is influenced by her unique understanding of movement and culture.

Looking for a career shift, she seamlessly translated her lust for rhythm and dance to the decks, and quickly garnered accolades including her first Juno Award nomination in 2024 for ‘Underground Dance Single of the Year’ with her breakout hit ‘Mad Mess’.

This year sees KARABA on the precipice of altering the Afro house landscape. Ahead of Tides, KARABA graced the cover of Spotify’s Fresh Finds Canada, and performed on the iconic stages of Boiler Room and Lightning in a Bottle, even leading EDC Las Vegas’ first-ever UBUNTU stage dedicated to African dance music.

Tides signals a sonic evolution and reaffirms KARABA’s place at the forefront of a new movement in global dance music.
