Kenyan singer Chimano releases new single Monster

By:

Kenyan artist, Chimano has dropped new single titled Monster alongside its video. The track is a feel-good Afro House written, produced by DTX and co-written by Chimano that delves into the essence of someone’s true nature, hidden behind the façade they adopt to maintain appearances.

Monster is a powerful narrative about recognizing your self-worth and finding the courage to stand up for yourself. The song’s vocals are simultaneously melancholic and haunting, yet they maintain an uplifting energy that drives the message of empowerment and resilience.

Monster is more than just a song, it’s a bold declaration of independence and self-respect. This is my third single this year and my last for the year but if anything, it should give an indication of the direction I’m heading musically,” Chimano shared ahead of the release.

In the new video, the celebrated style icon captivates with his signature eccentric fashion sense flanked by feisty dancers. The smooth, dynamic choreography dominates the singular scene inviting the audience to connect visually and emotionally with the track’s theme.

Once again, the music video showcases Chimano’s ability to deliver groovy music that both moves and inspires.

From experimental sounds to truthfulness in writing, Chimano’s 2024 singles Monster and previously released singles Fashion and Do You Remember showcase a fun yet intricate character on an incredible journey of self-discovery and reinvention from previous music towards a new sound and expression.

His releases showcase his passion for music and the artistry he possesses, culminating in an upcoming full body of work that will capture his creative growth and evolution.
