SoundCloud introduces fast upload experience for artists

Making music is not easy, but sharing it with the world can be. That is why SoundCloud has launched a brand new upload experience.

They have always given a platform for artists to bring their music from concept to audience. Now they arere making that journey even smoother with a seamless upload experience, helping artists’ music reach listeners, gain fans and earn quicker with every upload.

Artists have had enough on their plate, from producing and mixing, to marketing, distributing and managing a fanbase. SoundCloud’s new artist upload experience redefines what it means to release music on the platform, so artists can focus on their music.

Here’s what the new upload experience offers:

Artists can get paid

Next Pro artists can now seamlessly opt into Monetization during the upload process to earn money from their tracks. There is no need to navigate complex settings—SoundCloud makes it simple so creativity starts working for musicians right away.

Reach the right audience

With just a single click, Next artists can tap into the recommendation algorithm, gaining access to fan-driven playlists like Buzzing. This helps music reach a broader audience, connecting with new fans, industry professionals and more.

Effortless upload experience

The updated UX lets artist drag and drop tracks with ease, making the upload process intuitive and stress-free. The music will be ready for the world to hear in seconds, as smooth as a ’90s slow jam.

Seamlessly distribution everywhere

Right after uploading, artists can distribute their tracks to over 60 top platforms. From SoundCloud to Spotify and more, the music will be available everywhere all at once.

Keep fans in the loop

SoundCloud handles fan notifications for artists. The moment one uploads a new track, followers will be notified, ensuring fans stay up-to-date with the latest releases without any additional effort.

Reward your most loyal fans

SoundCloud have introduced new ways to reward and monetize die-hard supporters with exclusive merch drops. Now, artists can make merch with no hassle or upfront costs and connect directly with their fans thanks to the SoundCloud Store. The artist merch program is currently in beta and available to a select group of Next artists who can apply on SoundCloud’s landing page.
