South African singer and songwriter Cindy-Louise, now residing in the Netherlands, delivered two captivating performances on Lift You Up – the prestigious international talent show produced by Be-Entertainment and aired on VTM TV Belgium.
On February 7, she enthralled both the audience and judges with a stunning theatrical rendition of ‘Mr. Sandman’, elevating the atmosphere and securing her place in the next round.
She followed this with a duet alongside Belgian pop artist Metejoor on February 21, performing ‘Dit Is Wat Mijn Mama Zei’ (‘This Is What My Mama Said’). This performance uniquely blended her Afrikaans vocals with Metejoor’s Dutch, bringing a touch of South Africa to the show and delighting her fans.
Although Cindy-Louise did not progress further, she made South Africa proud, adding a special touch of class to the show.
Launched on January 24, this groundbreaking competition in Belgium is set to redefine the music scene. Featuring a unique stage lift mechanism, Cindy-Louise quite literally rose to the occasion, wowing fans and mentors alike with her incredible talent.

Born in South Africa, Cindy-Louise currently residing in the Netherlands. She began her musical journey at 16, engaging in singing and piano lessons that laid the foundation for her classical training.
Pursuing a major in music philosophy, she specialised in classical and jazz voice, further honing her craft at the Mediterranean Opera Festival programme in Italy, where she performed roles such as Despina in Così fan tutte and Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro.
In 2020, Cindy-Louise released her debut album Humanity, which garnered critical acclaim for its innovative sound and poignant lyricism. Demonstrating her versatility, she seamlessly blends elements of pop and rock, exploring themes of identity and self-discovery in her music.
Her 2024 EP, What You Made Me offers a candid glimpse into her vulnerabilities, addressing topics such as anxiety and self-wellbeing. The EP’s theatrical rock aesthetic invites listeners on a journey of self-reflection and emotional resonance.
In April 2024, Cindy-Louise unveiled Whispers of a Kingdom, an album that transports listeners to an enchanted realm filled with tales of betrayal, courage, and resilience. This spellbinding narrative showcases her storytelling prowess and musical depth.
