When The Hub Park first opened its doors a year ago inside the bustling The Hub Karen Mall, it promised families something Nairobi had long needed: a safe, imaginative, all-weather playground where children could unleash their energy and parents could breathe a little easier.

Twelve months later, that promise has blossomed into a vibrant reality.

Today, The Hub Park stands proudly as one of the largest and modern indoor family entertainment centre a colourful, climate-controlled world of adventure that has transformed how families play, bond, and celebrate milestones.

And as it marked its first anniversary, the park is rolled out a series of exciting offers to say thank you to the thousands of guests whose laughter has filled its halls.

The anniversary celebration was marked with heartfelt reflections from those who shaped the park’s journey.

“Celebrating the first anniversary of The Hub Park is a proud moment for us and a testament to the vision we set out to achieve—creating a vibrant, inclusive space where children, families, and the wider community can learn, play, and connect,” said Margaret Mbaka, JCG chairperson.

“What began as an investment in enriching the mall experience has grown into a dynamic hub of activity that serves families, schools, and even corporate groups in ways that have exceeded our expectations,” she added.

The Hub Karen Mall manager Jacobus Visser echoed her sentiment, describing the park as “the heartbeat of the mall,” drawing families, energising the space, and bringing warmth to the entire shopping experience.

Dancers lit up the celebration as guests enjoyed The Hub Park’s lively first anniversary festivities.

Inside its expansive 3,200-square-metre playground, The Hub Park blends physical challenge with high-tech fun. Kenya’s first indoor air glider remains the star attraction – a thrilling ride that now features an aerial camera so guests can capture every moment of their flight across the park.

Around it, the park hosts a curated mix of activities:

  • climbing walls fit for young explorers
  • a sprawling net maze suspended overhead
  • trampolines and foam pits
  • VR gaming and interactive digital zones
  • bright, padded play areas designed specifically for toddlers

Capacity is another standout feature: up to 410 guests can enjoy the attractions simultaneously, with the larger facility accommodating more than 1,000 people – qualities that have made it a popular venue for group outings and school excursions.

The Hub Park’s anniversary deals aimed at families

To mark its one-year anniversary, The Hub Park has announced a range of family-friendly promotions, including Buy-One-Get-One-Free Thursdays, which are perfect for siblings or friends, and Toddler Tuesdays, which offer a 25% discount for younger children.

The park has also introduced a new loyalty programme that rewards frequent visitors, along with an Aerial Glider Camera add-on that allows families to capture their entire flight experience on video.

Guests enjoy the vibrant atmosphere at The Hub Park’s anniversary event.

According to park management, these offers are intended to make visits more affordable and accessible during a time when many families are facing economic pressures.

Open daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, The Hub Park closes its first year with a clear sense of momentum.

Its rapid rise reflects a growing appetite among Nairobi families for safe, weather-proof recreational spaces — and signals that the city’s indoor entertainment scene is just getting started.
