MTN Group chief financial officer Tsholofelo Molefe has been honoured with the inaugural Africa Finance Leaders Award for Excellence in Corporate Financial Performance & Growth.
The award was presented by the Conference of African Chief Finance Officers (CACFO) in partnership with KPMG and handed over by former Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
This recognition highlights Molefe’s exceptional leadership in steering MTN’s strong financial performance and resilience.
Her strategic foresight and dedication to excellence have bolstered MTN’s growth trajectory, establishing the company as a benchmark for corporate performance and sustainability across Africa.
The award celebrates outstanding African financial leadership, acknowledging Molefe’s role in shaping MTN’s success and serving as an example of effective, visionary leadership on the continent.
The conference also provided a strategic platform for Africa’s leading financial executives to deliberate on the evolving role of Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) amid global economic shifts, the lingering effects of the pandemic, and the continent’s drive towards sustainable growth.
Organisers of the Africa Finance Leaders Awards emphasised that the scheme seeks to uphold transparency, fairness, and meritocracy in its selection process—promoting excellence, fostering innovation, and recognising sustainability-driven leadership across Africa’s financial landscape.
