Viva Global successfully concluded the 2025 edition of the Viva Global Wine Expo, which took place on August 20–21 at the Park Inn by Radisson, Nairobi. The two-day showcase brought together over 500 guests, including wine lovers, sommeliers, hospitality professionals, embassy delegates, influencers, media, and international partners to celebrate global wine culture and Kenya’s growing wine appreciation movement.

The Expo also highlighted key industry insights, including the rapid rise in wine consumption among younger Kenyan consumers, increased demand for sweeter wine varieties, and a growing alignment between food, lifestyle, and wine culture in urban spaces.

Guests enjoyed curated experiences such as “The Rosé Affair” tasting, exclusive WSET masterclasses, guided walk-through tastings, and indulgent cheese and wine pairings. These sessions highlighted both sophistication and accessibility, catering to Kenya’s growing base of millennial and Gen Z wine consumers.

Speaking after the event, Meera Karia, Director of Business Development at Viva Global, said, “This year’s Expo was not just a wine tasting—it was a cultural exchange and an education platform. We created a space for discovery, networking, and celebration of wine’s evolving role in Kenya. The response from both trade and consumers was overwhelmingly positive, reflecting a bright future for wine in the region.”

This year’s Expo was especially significant as it marked 25 years of Viva Global in Kenya’s beverage industry. Guests experienced wines from 20 brands across 6 countries, with leading producers such as Moët Hennessy (France), DGB (South Africa), Viña Concha y Toro (Chile), Baron Philippe de Rothschild (France), Trivento (Argentina), Vicente Gandía (Spain), and Fratelli Martini (Italy) showcasing their finest labels.

As Viva Global continues to lead in wine education and distribution, the Viva Global Wine Expo remains a cornerstone event for connecting global producers with local markets, expanding knowledge, and celebrating Kenya’s place on the global wine map.
